Who is The Bucket List Family?
The Bucket List Family, also known as the Gee family, is a family of five who travel the world together, sharing their adventures through YouTube and Instagram. Jessica and Garrett Gee, along with their three children — Dorothy, Manilla, and Calihan — began their journey in 2015 after making the brave decision to sell everything and explore the world.
What started as a bold leap into the unknown turned into a global sensation. The Gee family’s genuine love for travel, discovery, and spending quality time together has inspired millions of followers. Whether surfing in tropical waters or exploring new cultures, this adventurous family shows what it means to live life to the fullest.
A Family Getaway to Punta Mita
For their visit to Punta Mita, The Bucket List Family stayed at Casa Familia, a luxurious beachfront villa within the Los Ranchos Estate. After arriving from Hawaii, we arranged their private transfer to the villa, where they were joined by friends throughout their stay.
Living an alcohol-free lifestyle, the family enjoyed refreshing kombucha and virgin piña coladas while soaking up the sun by the pool. With direct beach access, they made the most of the ocean — surfing, paddleboarding, and even capturing breathtaking footage of humpback whales during the migration season.
Adventure and Relaxation
We helped organize some incredible experiences for the family, including a surf safari with Punta Mita Adventures, where they explored local surf breaks. They also participated in a private cooking class with the villa’s chef, learning to create delicious dishes with fresh local ingredients.
For some downtime, they enjoyed the villa’s theatre room for video games and movie nights, and stayed active with workouts in the gym, complete with hot and cold therapy.
Island Hopping and Special Moments
As their villa stay came to an end, The Bucket List Family embarked on an island adventure to Las Islas Marietas, exploring hidden beaches and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. The trip was extra special, as they were in Mexico to celebrate Garrett’s sister’s wedding. The festivities wrapped up with a rehearsal dinner and welcome party in Sayulita, surrounded by close friends and family.
A few of the family’s celebrity friends stayed with them at the villa, enjoying the luxurious space and sharing glimpses of their stay on social media, even tagging Agave Villas — a sweet nod to an unforgettable trip.
